I was a latch-key kid growing up and was always hungry. I would call my mom at work hungry, who always told me I would have to make something. That is where my love for food began. I worked in different restaurants through high school, and I was never good-looking enough to be on the front side of the house, so I was always stuck in the dish room or on the line.
